More than 30 UK locations will host big screens to show the Coronation on 6 May 2023, the Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer announced on 17 March. By this point we were already fully booked and had been since the Coronation date was first revealed.
Big Screen Hire for the Coronation
It’s great to read that big screens will be put up in public places across the UK to show the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Consort which means even more people can come together to watch this historic milestone.
Outdoor cinema locations showing the coronation stretch from Bournemouth to Belfast and will include sites in all four nations of the UK. Closer to our base in Milton Keynes we are serving the counties of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire over the Coronation weekend with our outdoor LED screens.
Funds have been made available by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for screens. Confirmed sites include Cardiff Castle, Belfast City Hall, Piece Hall in Halifax, Jubilee Square in Brighton and Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester. Here at Ellievision AV we think this is a great idea and are eagerly organising and planning for the screen hires we have planned for the Coronation weekend.
These big screens will make it easier for everyone to take part and have a memorable experience to mark this exciting and historic event, for most the first Coronation they will have ever witnessed.

Bookings are still open for the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on Sunday 7 May, broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer, where thousands of members of the public will be in the audience.
